Editorial and ranking policy
CommAI commercial independence policy
How CommAI separates sponsored visibility from recommendation logic and discloses commercial relationships.
The principle
Products may pay for clearly labelled visibility. Payment must not increase an Advisor score, erase a trade-off or turn an unverified claim into verified evidence.
What sponsorship can buy
- Placement in an area explicitly labelled sponsored or promoted.
- Additional visibility for an approved public catalogue listing.
- Aggregate reporting about sponsored inventory where available.
What sponsorship cannot buy
- A higher organic Advisor or replacement rank.
- A positive verification status or removal of a documented trade-off.
- A guaranteed recommendation, Decision Receipt outcome or customer endorsement.
- Preferential treatment in Stack Autopsy savings calculations.
Disclosure
Recommendation and receipt surfaces should identify recorded sponsorship or affiliate relationships. Organic and sponsored activity is kept separate in internal reporting.
Corrections
Vendors may submit factual corrections and evidence. CommAI may update the record after review, but the vendor cannot purchase the conclusion.

Make a decision with the policy visible
Every recommendation should be judged on fit, evidence and trade-offs—not on who paid for visibility.
