Recommendation method
How CommAI produces recommendations
A plain-language explanation of how CommAI turns a requirement into a recommendation, checks product evidence and communicates uncertainty.
1. Preserve the original requirement
The job, budget, privacy needs, platforms, integrations and tools already owned remain the decision contract.
2. Translate the job into capabilities
CommAI identifies the work that must be performed before selecting products, reducing the chance that a persuasive product description dictates the workflow.
3. Retrieve and compare evidence
Catalogue claims, structured capabilities, plan prices, integrations, exports, privacy characteristics and replacement relationships are compared. Vendor claims remain visually distinct from stronger verification.
4. Check the answer independently
A quality gate checks requirement coverage, unsupported stages, pricing uncertainty, handoff evidence and known migration risks. Unresolved gaps remain visible.
5. Explain the decision
The result includes why a product was selected, alternatives, trade-offs, price-check dates, commercial disclosures and confidence. A Decision Receipt can preserve the record.
6. Ask what happened
When users report an outcome, the receipt can distinguish an untested recommendation from a product that was adopted, retained or abandoned.
