Subscription consolidation guide
How to replace three AI writing subscriptions with one
A safe consolidation process for teams paying for overlapping research, drafting and rewriting products—without assuming one product can replace every workflow.
Do not begin with product names
List the recurring jobs each subscription performs, the people who use it, the files that must be exported and the integrations that would be lost. Overlap in marketing language is not proof of replaceability.
The five-step consolidation test
- Record the actual monthly cost, billing cycle and renewal date for all three tools.
- Map the distinct requirements: research, drafting, brand voice, approvals, exports and integrations.
- Choose one candidate and run representative work through it while the old tools remain active.
- Measure output quality, editing time, team adoption and any missing history or integrations.
- Cancel in risk order: unused duplicate first, easiest-to-restore second, workflow-critical product last.
Worked cost example
The demonstration Autopsy compares a $74/month stack with a $25/month trial stack, while withholding cancellation until the replacement passes a real acceptance test.
